Yes, it is enabled but not at 60 seconds, the setting is at 10 seconds. The feature keeps out spammers and auto-advertisers that bomb a site constantly, a technique known as flooding. However, I do know that some of our legit users are just as good and fast as spammers but unfortunately I can't turn it off per user so you'll just have to wait at least 9.99 seconds before posting to the next topic.

I'll see what I can do about that. The texteditors have changed (for the better) and seems like that option has been disabled. If you know HTML you can still get the colors in your font via the proper HTML tag. Just click on the HTML button in the toolbar.

Optionally you can paste from Word but that seems too much trouble for just posting.

You shouldn’t have to login twice. If I understand correctly, you login as usual, but when you try to reply or create a new post (once you hit the Post) button, the site prompts you to relogin?

There may be two reasons for this that I can think of right away….
1) You browser or some kind of security software on your computer is preventing “cookies” to be saved on your computer.
2) You are typing your message for a very long time (typically more than 30 minutes) and when you try to post your message, the system thinks you’ve logged off and prompts you to login again.

If the 1st is true, you’ll have to consult that security software and allow it to accept “1st party cookies” or add our website as a “safe” website.

If the later is true, then you probably want to select the entire message that you typed and copy it, then try to Post the message. This way once you’ve re-logged in, you just simply Paste the message back in. (to copy do CTRL+C and to paste do CTRL+P).

Send me the error page when you get it next time. That will help me explain the problem to Telligent (the makers of the software) and see if they have any solution.

Well one reason I found out (which may not be the ONLY reason) is that the pictures in the signatures are images that are not on my server, but instead coming for some other server on the internet. Of course if you have 20 posts in a thread and each loads the signature which tries to connect to the various servers to get those pictures, that adds to the load time and slows your browser down because it has to wait for each of them.

I haven’t figured out how to disable images in signatures yet, but I would like to do that just to see if page load becomes better or not.

Other things, are your connection to the internet, how busy the connection is from where you logon.

Not sure where the problem could be. There are a lot of moving parts and it could be anything. It could also be that the site was getting heavy traffic at that point.

The software does have an upgrade out that may address any performance issues but I’m testing it right now and don’t have this site upgraded.
