The best album of 2005 was Parineeta. Bunty Aur Babli was amazing, too. Dus was not bad. Salaam Namaste was a great one. Paheli was melodious whereas Rang De Basanti was rocking… Yet people love mediocre albums like AASHIQ BANAYA AAPNE and yet cry for different tunes !!!
Amrita Rao and Ayesha Takia are undoubtedly the most promising young stars in the industry. Considering the work put in by both in their movies it is evident that Amrita Rao is many times better than Ayesha Takia in terms of looks as well as acting. Ayesha’s performance in ‘Socha Na Tha’ was commendable but comparing to Amrita in Ishq Vishq(which had a similar character sketch), she has miles to cover to reach where Amrita’s talent is. Ayesha made a mess out of her debut film ‘Tarzan -The Wonder Car’ as it was that of a glamour doll. But Amrita carried similar roles in ‘Ab Ke Baras’ and ‘Vaah! Life Ho To Aisi’ with aplomb. Ayesha showed poor comic timing in ‘Home Delivery’. But, can anybody forget the “satellite” Aanchal of ‘Masti’. Even Amrita’s song in Deewar oozed a rare sensitivity and sensuality. Ayesha Takia was wasted in ‘Dil Maange More’ more so because she didn’t gel well with Shahid Kapoor. Whereas, Amrita and Shahid look just perfect for each other. Amrita also share favourable chemistry with other co-stars like Vivek Oberoi, Akshaye Khanna, Zayed Khan and Shah Rukh Khan. Amrita stood out even in ‘Main Hoon Na’ and ‘Shikhar’ pitted against an ensemble cast. Special Mention must be made of ‘Main Hoon Na’ in which her tomboy act was diametrically different from what she did in her previous films and no actress in recent past has pulled off such a role so beautifully. LOOKWISE, AYESHA MAY HAVE A GOOD BODY, BUT AMRITA’S ***ET IS HER SPUNK, CUTE SMILE AND INNOCENT LOOKS AND ANTICS. SHE’S THE ONE WHOM MEN WOULD LOVE TO TAKE HOME FOR ‘MAMA’…
