I have something totally random. I just made a whole bunch of raita, which is my favorite summer treat. Ok, lemme confess – it's my favorite year-round food. But someone gave me cucumbers from their garden, and that's all I like in it, plus garam masala and some seasoning salt. Yum!

Yeah, I'm actually kind of anal on it, so I thought I'd better warn people in advance. I don't, you know, ignore people or be mean to them for bad grammar or spelling* but a little gentle teasing is in order sometimes.

*I do get rude to people with bad grammar under two circumstances. 1.If they are asking me for a date, and 2. If they are trying to insult me in the first place.

Got any plans for the weekend! It's supposed to be really hot here. I love the heat but the humidity is getting to be too much; one can't even breathe. Yesterday it was so sticky. We've been taking a second shower every day; I can't get fully awake in the mornings without a shower, but by the evening you need to shower anyway since you've been sweating. We don't have AC in the house – I don't like AC much anyway – just fans.

Only a little longer. August tends to be fairly dry around here, so I love that.

I am wearing white sandals today. I think they look really nice on my feet, but I can't help but notice my feet have tanned a lot this summer.
