While reading your posts I was questioning myself… What is exactly the meaning of modestly dressed? Is that when you're covering your whole body? Is that when you wear normal turtle necks with jeans? Is modestly dressed when you're wearing a long skirt every day? I believe, and forgive me if I'm wrong, that the definition of being modestly dressed depends on the culture and religion…

For example… When you truly believe in Islam, you want to do everything that's said in the Koran, like you do want to keep to the ten rules you have in the Bible, so you will cover your whole body including your head so you're modestly dressed. When you're a Christian and believe in the Bible, you will wear a hat on Sunday and skirts every day, because that's what they're religion is saying is the way you're modestly dressed. You are both modestly dressed according to your believes, but just different… You have different standards in life, and that's why you've choosen for a different religion (with a different way of dressing yourself).

And you know, you'll always have exceptions… Girls who call themselves Christians or Muslims but in the meantime wear mini skirts or thight-ass jeans and show their cleavage to everyone. I think that not only Muslim girls are talking about the way Christian/European/white girls are dressing and judging them, but Christians/Europeans do the same about Muslims…

I just think that we shouldn't judge each other on the way we're dressing (to some extend of course), but that we should respect each other. We're all a pearl in a shell underneath our clothes you know… You don't nead to cover everything to be one, in my opinion you can be a pearl too when you go through the world modestly dressed in jeans and turtle necks (or other decent clothes)…

PS: But on the other hand… can't you truly believe in God if you're not wearing a skirt to church every Sunday? Can't you truly believe in Islam when you're not covering your hair?

Just some thoughts that came through my mind after reading all of your discussions…

About religion and being a vegetarian… I think everyone should decide for him/herself. In the Bible (I dunno very much about the Islam, sorry…) it says that God created the animals to be food for us and to be inferior to human beings. That doesn't mean you should eat meat, but we may eat animals, and also use them for sacrafices. God gave us lots of food to survive on earth, and I believe we can choose what we eat and what we don't want to eat. Except of course for some animals that are forbidden in our religions…

Another thing that bugs me (sorry if this offends people, I really am.) is when people go half and half – i.e. they say they will eat non veg only on certain days of the week. Um. HELLO???!!! What difference does it make to the animal killed whether you eat it on a Wednesday or a Saturday?? How does the day of the week you eat it on affect ANYTHING in ANY way? I find that hypocritical (sorrysorrysorry again), to say “Oh today's a Tuesday, I only eat veg.” And that makes up for all the others days you DO eat dead animals?

lol. sorry, but this made me laugh. Tongue Tied

Hahaha, it made me laugh too!! Big Smile And hey… I DO think you're absolutely right about this Boo!! If you're a veggie, you're a veggie everyday…

    Am Rani:

You got the right one, Baby, uhuh uhuh! Wink (Remember London?? My roommate!!) And it only took you 4 minutes to figure out what I mean! I'm proud of you! And I love you, 'cause you are such a sweet friend Left Hug Jeej!! We both love each other Smile

Hahaha, of course I remember London!!!! How could I even forget?! Wink Especially because we had so much fun afterwards at school hahaha Stick out tongue Everytime a “cute” (well a friend of us was thinking that, we didn't agree at all!!!) teacher turned around we were like “uhuh uhuh”… And all the fun was only because Am Rani's roommate in London was wearing pyjamas with on the front printed something like “give it to me baby” (what was it again?) and on the back it said “uhuh uhuh”… Yeah, good (uuhh? Wink) old memories!! Smile

Btw… I'm glad you're proud of me Stick out tongue I can be quick sometimes haha… Wink
