I'm quite undeserving of your kind words, but, then again, an appreciating audience elicits but only an excellent performance. That fact that you seem to delight in such music is worth the effort to delve deep and find the odd unforgettable tune clinging to a crevice in my soul.

Here is a perennial favourite of mine from Frederick Loewe and Alan Jay Lerner, brought to life in Audrey Hepburn's 'My Fair Lady.'

    I have often walked
    Down the street before,
    But the pavement always
    Stayed beneath my feet before.
    All at once am I
    Several stories high,
Knowing Im on the street where you live.

    Are there lilac trees
    In the heart of town?
Can you hear a lark in any other part of town?
    Does enchantment pour
    Out of every door?
No, its just on the street where you live.

    And oh, the towering feeling
Just to know somehow you are near
    The overpowering feeling
That any second you may suddenly appear.

    People stop and stare
    They dont bother me,
For theres no where else on earth
    That I would rather be.

    Let the time go by,
    I wont care if I
Can be here on the street where you live.

    People stop and stare
    They dont bother me,
For theres no where else on earth
    That I would rather be.

    Let the time go by
    I wont care if I
Can be here on the street where you live,

Let me be on the street where you live.

PS: Several people sang this song: Nat King Cole, Bobby Darin, Dean Martin, Perry Como and Vic Damone…but I like Nat King Cole's version the best.

Here's one more from Maroon 5- 'Sweetest Goodbye/Sunday Morning. Boo, I still cannot get the image of Hugh Grant singing Good King Wenceslas (Good King Wenceslas looked out on the Feast of Stephen, When the snow lay round about, deep and crisp and even) out of my head…Lol

Where you are seems to be
    As far as an eternity
    Outstretched arms open hearts
And if it never ends then when do we start?
    I'll never leave you behind
    Or treat you unkind
    I know you understand
And with a tear in my eye
    Give me the sweetest goodbye
    That I ever did receive

    Pushing forward and arching back
Bring me closer to heart attack
Say goodbye and just fly away
    When you comeback
I have some things to say

How does it feel to know you never have to be alone
    When you get home
There must be someplace here that only you and I could go
So I can show you how I
    Dream away everyday
    Try so hard to disregard
The rhythm of the rain that drops
And coincides with the beating of my heart

    I'll never leave you behind
    Or treat you unkind
    I know you understand
And with a tear in my eye
    Give me the sweetest goodbye
    That I ever did receive

    Pushing forward and arching back
Bring me closer to heart attack
Say goodbye and just fly away
    When you comeback
I have some things to say

How does it feel to know you never have to be alone
    When you get home
There must be someplace here that only you and I could go
So I can show you how I feel

Shhh! I'm not supposed to be online at this moment Lmao. I'm at Lunch with a friend who excused herself and went to the Ladies' Room. She must have died in there because it's been a while. Thank God for 3G Mobile Phones. God Bless Nokia. Here is answer to your question, most fine miss -wait, that sounds as if I missed you which 'I do not know if I did or not' or is that 'I do not no if I did or knot' or would that be 'Eye did knot know if Eye did oar knot?' I'm erm to borrow from a friend, confuzzled.

I cannot ignore you (You are too damn interesting). Cannot hide from you (You will probably flap your Pink-Dragon wings and search me out). Cannot run from you (Broomsticks are faster than feet) and definitely cannot shy away (I'm drawn to danger and impending doom as a moth to the flame)…

Here is my question: How come you ask so many questions?

I do, person above me. I love cooking, especiall for others. The problem is I'm not Mom. No matter how many recipe books I consult, all the gourmet cuisine cannot hold a candle to what mom whipped up in a jiffy. How about you person above me? Do you cook?
