Yeah, cuz In poetry and lyrics, people describe emotions and all that stuff, so they use Urdu instead of Hindi.
Well, the reason why I said they passed it off as hindi is because everytime you hear the actors give an interview of their movie, they say hindi when they wanna say language.
Urdu is mostly derived from Arabic. (Ninja, shush it. Arabic was the first language ever, so duh! ppl are gonna copy!

Well…Fariyaad…Guftagoo(used in Maula mere song)…Maula is Urdu too…aarzoo…zulfen…Ishq is an Arabic word but is used in Urdu as well…fitrat…kudrat…furqat…Talaaq(remember? Was used in The movie Barsat by Priyanka and she said it's urdu, but it's actually an Arabic word but I guess now it's in the Urdu dictionary as well. lol)

lol. But Maula Mere is Urdu. It's not in Hindi. Boo, the word Khushboo is actually an urdu word. the words they used are very much Urdu. It's not hindi because pure/true Hindi is different. If you watched Lage Raho Munna Bhai, the part where circuit(I LOVE HIM!) is telling Sanjay not to talk in tapori language and to talk in Hindi, then he gives him some examples, that's true hindi. In all the bollywood movies, they talk mostly in Urdu and pass it off as Hindi when it's actually urdu.
If you want to tell the difference between Urdu and Hindi, Watch the Movie Tehzeeb(Urmila and Arjun Rampal) and the Movei Garv(Salman). In Tehzeeb, they speak in Urdu. and in Garv, they talk mostly in Hindi. When I was watching Garv, I didn't really understand most of it cuz it's in hindi and I don't know pure hindi. Urdu and Hindi are very similar but also very different. normal words are pretty much the same but when it gets to deeper words and when u wanna say how u feel or describe ur emotions, that's where the differences come up.

You know what I do? Everytime we watch a movie, I turn on the subtitles just so that I can laugh at the stupid translations! haha! everyone gets sooo annoyed! And when we are watching a funny movie, I laugh like a pagal! Then, I rewind it again so I can laugh a second time! My twin hates it! He goes pagal! lol! Actually, everyone hates it! They say I don't let them watch the movie in peace. *pouts* arrrre! I make the funny even more funny! lol!

Even “New York” is translated… (in Dutch we also say New York, but you can translate the “new” into Dutch. Which is pretty stupid, when the movie takes place in New York… I alwys watch the movies with English subtitles… I will remember you next time
