I can't wait for the summer too! and yes, yemenilicious wears a niqaab. She mentioned it on the forum as well, except she just said with her face “all covered” or something like that. lol. Yeah, Mashallah, she's very inspiring.
Especially since she's doing it here in America, it's so hard, with all the questions and stares. I remember one day at the mosque I was just covering my face with my hijaab the way I would if I was wearing a niqaab and to make a long story short, I covered my face like that and went to the gas station and a store. And hekka people were staring as if they have never seen two pairs of eyes before! It's really crazy. Alhumdulillah, it felt amazing, but all those stares from people was a bit weird. I admire Ninja for wearing the niqaab, she's an amazing person, Mashallah. Actually, she's my inspiration to be a better Muslim, Inshallah. awwwww! My beautiful Ninja! I miss you so much! My mom was asking about you a couple days ago and today as well! She thinks you're upset with us, cuz u never call me anymore. I was like, “of course not, she's just busy.” lol. and my sis even asked too! lol. See how much we all love you?!?!

When I went to that chaand raat party thing, there were a buncha ladies with Niqaabs on, and he said, “look! It's your friend!” and when I look, I see this lady with a niqaab on, I'm like, “that's not my friend.” He says,”yeah, it's the friend that covers her face.” lol. He's such a nut! But he hekka gets along with ur lil bro. lol.

Scarrry…I've felt that way before…so trust me when I say that the feeling will pa.ss. Not everyone is like that, there are so many people in this world that are such nice and sweet people that you're amazed to see them. It's really easy to believe in other people even though one person has misused your trust. Or maybe it's just me cuz I'm so gullible…but I'm sure you won't feel that way forever. Friends will come and show you that it's wrong to judge everyone just because of one person's stupidity. Don't close yourself off from relationships, because relationships are what help us when times get tough.

It's kind of obvious that we don't follow our religion when we are getting married. There are so many things people do that is not even in Islam, like the whole dowry thing. That's not even in Islam! In Islam, the husband is supposed to give money(in any form, could be diamonds) to the wife. And that's it. I don't know where we got this “buying the wife” thing from. It's so stupid.
But…I don't think it's wrong if we do some of the cultural stuff…as long as it does not go against the Islamic Shariah(law). Cuz some of it is really sweet/cute/funny.
