I have translated it and I would have done it even if you had not posted a second request here. As I said in my other post, some times I don’t see requests when they are no longer on the first couple of pages. I do try to go back and find all those that I missed when I have time. Lately I have not had much free time so I barely manage to translate those on page 1 and I have not even been reading messages in other sections of this forum.Madhu

Sorry I have been busy lately so have not really had time to look at the posts that got moved to the back pages. Unless I see it when I take a quick peak I can easily miss your requests. That is what happened here. Lately things move to back pages pretty quickly with so many requests being posted. Unfortunately we spend more times hunting down responses for duplicate requests since that is what is on page 1. If more people would try to search for themselves we would have genuinely new requests on page 1 and could then spend time translating those songs.

Yes ‘hamari adhuri kahani’ does mean ‘our incomplete story’. That does make some difference to the translation but I think you stil got the gist of the song even with the word ‘hamari’ missing.
Lyrics posted on the web are often off by a word or two since it is so easy to miss minor words when transcribing songs. I some times only notice it when I try to sing it and the tune does not match because there are words missing.

You are right Boo that we can not just pick up any one elses translations and add them here since that would not be fair. This is why it is better to put just the link to the website that has it available. This way we save room on our forum and yet the person needing the translation can find it. Also, this way the website that actually had done the translations got credit.
I am not sure exactly what Mukesh has in mind either with his plans to move some of the translations to the main website. However, he did say that if we knew that it was taken from another website that he would make sure they got credit for it.
I know that I either translate the songs myself or else point people to the website that has the translation.

Had you used the search you would have found the translation yourself since that is exactly what I did. Always take a look for yourself first and if you are unable to find what you need then go ahead and put in your request.

On screen Guru Dutt sang this to his bride, a very young Waheeda Rehman, who was truly considered to be a beauty that was incomparable.
