There is no story behind that particular song. Madhuri Dixit was at some sort of party. Saw the movie Anjaam years ago and don’t remember what the actual occasion was but might have been a wedding. She was asked to dance and so she danced to this song. Other guests joined in to dance as chorus with her. She dragged her on screen fiance, Deepak Tijori, to participate in the dance with her. Shahrukh Khan was at the party too and he watched her dance. This is one of the movies where Shahrukh Khan played a negative role. He was obsessed with Madhuri Dixit in this movie.

Sorry that this song did not match your expectations for a nice little story leading up to the song. It is a nice song though and Madhuri Dixit really danced well.
