Gosh, I'm no rehnuma [leader], just an ordinary person. But, I liked your suggestion. Thanks for your kind words of admiration.
The urdu poetry has the beauty to express very-very subtle human emotions. Even a complaint of a ditched lover, who can't bear the complete denial of his existance by his beloved, can be worded so delicately that the beloved will feel touched as though by a feather.
Here is the couplet:
ay cashm-e-yaar, ab na tagaaful, na iltifaat
kya mein kisee sulook ke, kaabil naheen raha
[Note: c in cashm be read as 'ch' in champion]
cashm = sight, yaar = dearest one, tagaaful = naaraaz, angry
iltifaat = invigourating, adding spice [to life], cheering and such like. The word is plural of lutf meaning taste, relishing
ye qhaamoshiyaan, ye tanhaaiyaan

ye qhaamoshiyaa……

husn kee baat chalee to sab tera naam lenge
chand aahen bharega…
Thanks, PoorNima. Will try to give explanations of of foreign words and expressions so as to make the poetry comprehensible.

Will be highly thankful, if someone tells me what “pure love” is.
The songs are a mixed lot, so much so that I wondered if the word theme any meaning at all! Or, I got it all wrong, folks?
