I’m not surprised, that was one fat book! I’m hoping to read “Room” next, and once I’m through that I’ll give “Shantaram” a try, hope it’s good as you guys say it is :p!!

Boo: I found the exorcism of emily rose to be such a sad movie as it was based on true events. It’s unfortunate that the real “emily” was unable to get the care and treatment she needed, I wonder how things would have turned out if she was able to continue on her anti-psychotic medications..

Last movie I watched was “Patiala House” – I love Akshay and Anushka, the movie was pretty good, I rate it as a 7/10. I’m hoping to watch “7 Khoon Maaf” today if I can finish up some work beforehand. I’ve heard really good things about Priyanka’s acting in the movie!

I just finished reading “Water for Elephants” by Sarah Gruen, it was an entertaining and captivating book. I didn’t want to put it down once I started it. The protagonist is so very likeable, and the author’s writing style is very engaging. She picks up on little details and makes you examine them in a new light, she makes you think about your own future and the inevitable changes we all experience. It is a relatively short book – only 300 odd pages, so if anyones looking for a short read, I absolutely recommend this book! =)

Lol aw boo, I’m glad im not the only wimp ;). I usually cover my eyes and watch through the cracks between my fingers. I hate watching scaryish movies, they freak me out and make me a little paranoid! Last year I watched Shutter Island with shereena and my sister, and I’d say I had my eyes closed or covered for at least half of the movie. I want to watch movies like Silence of the Lambs, Psycho, or The Exorcist, but I don’t think I’d be able to get through them. Sucks, feels like I’m missing out!!

NCFOM, is that the one with Javier Bardem?? I’ve heard lots of good stuff bout it, but haven’t seen any trailers or anything.

I hoping to watch either Guzaarish or Dhobi Ghat next week, hope they are good as everyone says.

I feel the same way boo! I’m so torn.. I love going into bookstores and simply browsing, or adding another book to my bookshelf when I’m done with it. I almost feel like I’d be betraying all my books by purchasing a gadget and storing them there instead, I’m a freak, right?

On the other hand, the kindle 3 can store approximately 3500 books, you can read it in all lighting conditions (dim light, bright room, in direct sunlight – no glare!). Most articles and blogs I’ve read recommend the Kindle over any other e-reader, and even over the iPad. I know someone who has a kindle, and she says a single charge lasts her about two months if she has the wi-fi turned off.

Also, books come out in e-book format sooner than paperback, and I personally dislike hardcover books because they can be so big and bulky. I’ve been waiting for almost a year for a couple books to be published in paperback, it’s getting to be quite ridiculous. E-books are also generally cheaper than other formats. A few dollars here or there don’t make a big difference, but when you buy a lot of books, it really adds up over time.

Gaaahh.. so confused.. think I need to do some more research.

I feel like Rory when she was making her pro/con list for Yale, Harvard, etc.

Boo: I am very interested to see what Dhobi Ghat is about, and whether or not the hype is justified. Hopefully within the next week or so I’ll have a chance to check it out 🙂

Black Swan was a good movie and NP was absolutely great! Lol, I’m a chicken shit though and there were a few somewhat scary scenes. I had to cover my eyes lol.

Does anyone here have an e-reader? And if so, what are their thoughts on it?

I’m considering purchasing an e-reader, most likely Kindle 3, or a Kindle 4 if it comes out in the summer as per rumors. I have avoided them until now because I was hesitant about reading off a screen, and I’m a freak and like buying new books. But it would just be so much more convenient to have multiple books on a tiny device, especially when going on a trip or when I’m not sure what I feel like reading. And apparently the e-ink technology is amazing, and doesn’t cause eye strain.

I’ve looked into the iPad as well, but the size, weight, and battery life are major deterrents. Unless Apple comes out with something smaller and with a better battery life, I don’t think it would work for me.

What do you guys think? is an e-reader a good purchase? 😕

    Adrenaline

amazing how it can keep you up; even after you’ve been awake for three consecutive nights.

    must get some sleep.

Oh and I hate snow. It never seems to end! You get some good weather for a while, and are led to believe that there will be no more icy sidewalks, no more shoveling, or clearing off the car, and then BAM! the bastard comes back.

    At home

I like being able to pause the movie if I have to go grab something. I also like having a big comfy blankeey that will keep me warm and a big cushy pillow that I can hug :). It’s a more relaxing environment I think. Still fun to go out sometimes though.

Reading a book or watching the movie?

Just a few more days and you get to watch your show! I hate when they postpone the premiere date too, you spend so much time anxiously waiting for your fav show to return, only to find out you have to wait another week or so. Ridonkulous if you ask me!

Rani: I watched BKB a few weeks ago, and it was such a waste of time!! Personally, I can’t stand Deepika, she can’t act and has a pretty annoying voice. The only thing that prevented me from throwing my glass at the TV was the lovely riesling in it! I only watched it coz my friend wanted to watch it and we both think Imran’s a cutie! He kinda sucked in the movie too.. maybe it was just the movie overall..

Last movie i watched was “no strings attached” with ashton kutcher and natalie portman; I don’t recommend it! It was just way too predictable, and felt like it was trying too hard.

I’m so tired of crap movies; must watch a good movie next time, can’t be wasting time on stupid movies that just piss me off 😐
