I watched “Something Borrowed” today; it was a nice “chick-flick”. I’m curious about the books now, maybe a good summer read? I absolutely loveee Ginnifer Goodwin, loved her since “Mona Lisa Smile”.

Thanks boo!! I’m pretty stoked. Kinda wish I could be in Vancouver celebrating with all the other fans!

I don’t know why I eat popcorn at movies.. I’m not a big fan of it, and it always makes my throat itchy =S

Yeah, books can take up a lot of space. Especially if you are going away for more than a few days and want to take a couple books with you. Hope you have fun on your trip and with all your shopping, a from everyday is always good!!

I just reading “Sacred Games” last night. It was a lengthy but enjoyable read. The story is sent in Bombay/Mumbai, and revolves largely around two central characters: an underworld gangster who is trying to discover himself and find meaning of life, and a police officer who is simply trying to get through everyday life and work by dealing with shady characters, until the case of a lifetime is thrust upon him.

Im always kinda sad when I finish reading a good book. I feel like I become part of the story, and when it ends it sometimes feels like I’m missing a bit of me.. does that make sense or am I a freak? 😕

I haven’t seen any movies in the past little while either. The last movie I watched was Dhobi Ghat.

Fashion was a good movie, I enjoyed it. I loved Kangana and Priyanka, I think they did a fantastic job in the movie. It was a different and refreshing concept :).

I wanna see Bridesmaids next I think.

Now I’m no psych major, but I think it could be possible to construct a classical conditioning experiment! Whenever a man displays asshole like behaviour, he should be zapped with a 50 000 volt taser! Eventually, I hope, they will learn to stop being such *****. You know any volunteers?

Who woulda thunk that men being jerks could result in mass extinction. I thought it would be some major nuclear disaster or WW3 that would result in such an outcome.. but nope, the world we know will end because of men. This is why women should rule the world!

    kaise kahoon
    yeh kaise kahoon
    bolo kaise kahoon, meri jaan
    dil hua, mera dil hua
    yeh dil hua tumpe fida

meri zindagi mein jab tak thi tum
    tha jeena ka mazaa
    ek choti khatha thi
    aur hum, payen kitni saza
yaad aati hai guzari baat sabhi
kare dil mera bas yeh pukaar abhi

    ke jee lein
    phir se
    yuhni saath mere baby
    kasam se
    kasam se
na kabhi jaon kahin tumhe chodke

    kaise kahoon
    yeh kaise kahoon
    bolo kaise kahoon, meri jaan
    dil hua, mera dil hua
    yeh dil hua tumpe fida

I discovered this song and singer (Parichay) recently, check him out, I’m sure there are a few people on this forum that would like him and his songs 🙂

I guess your supporting the team overall? I love my hockey team, and if they were to trade one of my fav players to another team, my loyalty would still lie with the Canucks. I’d want things to work out for the traded players, and would still continue to root for them (as long as they weren’t playing against my beloved Canucks, of course!).

I’d be interested in learning more about cricket, but no one really watches it here *-)

Lol that is very sweet of your friend. “A Fine Balance” is a great book, one of my favorites. Mistry is undoubtedly a gifted writer and does a great job of incorporating real historical events into his writing and depicting the socio-cultural environment of India. The characters are so real and well-defined, you can feel their joy and their sadness and desperation.. I read the book for the second time several years ago, but I still find myself thinking about the characters and their situations – they just kinda stay with you!!

Don’t think I’ve ever heard of that novel or the author. Fine Balance is a pretty long book, so read whatever you have time for :).

I’m currently reading “Sacred Games” by Vikram Chandra. I keep finding new great books, and my “to read list” never gets shorter. Wish I had more time to read.

    Aye gulbadan
    Aye gulbadan

seene mein sulag uth thi hai aggan
tujhe dekh ke kehta hai mera mann
kahin aaj kissi se mohabbat na ho jaye
kahin aaj kissi se mohabbat na ho jaye

kya ajeeb rang mein saj rahi hai khudai

Lol I don’t think becoming a lesbian is gonna somehow magically make that mutation disappear..

I suppose a Pavlovian experiment would be worth a try; after all, men ARE dogs 😉

They did do it! I had to miss the game because of work 😥 . It was apparently epic.. I watched the highlights, but it isnt the same as watching it live.

Another two more rounds to go.. I KNOW we can do it! 🙂

Yeah, I heard about India winning. I know very little about cricket (it was in Lagaan and it’s similar to baseball :p).

Okay, so I finally watched “Dhobi Ghat” and I absolutely loved it! It’s great to see BWood turning out some good quality movies. It was such a beautiful movie, the characters were subtle and restrained but there was something about them that made them so relatable and it felt like in a way, they could be anyone I know, with their little idiosyncrasies and their personalities. I feel like watching it all over again!!

Oh and I also watched “Fast Five” recently, movie was decent. I watched it in IMAX, and that always makes the experience more exciting. I give it a 5/10 overall. Vin diesel is getting old.. The Rock was huggeee!! Pumpin those roids like a monkey!

Next: I’m looking forward to “Zindagi Na Milegi Doobara” 🙂

Boo, Im planning trips to Las Vegas, Miami, a Caribbean cruise, and a few short road trips from June to September. Should be lots of fun, but lots of work too (researching the places and planning some activities!!). Gotta pick up some more work shifts so I can afford all this travelling too lol.

It’s been raining here for the past few days and everything is turning so bright green and so lovely. It’s so beautiful!! I miss rain sometimes *-), it’s kinda calming and soothing.
