Kadu two books? hmm.. one is the time travelers wife, just cant get into it yet, figured id read somehting else first and try to come back to it later, and the second.. iono, my pharmacology textbook? I know i wanted to re-read that before classes start again (lol dont think its gonna happen)

Boo, i do the same thing too! I write down things people recommend (movies, books, songs, etc.) but then always misplace the lists!!

Um no i haven't read the notebook, but ive been wanting to read it! I enjoyed the movie (Ryan Gosling is hott!! and i lubb Rachel McAdams). Ive read The Choice by Sparks, it was a nice an easy read, a good novel to read after MC!

Lol yeah I have no idea what you mean.. too many sponges and water references in that paragraph!! I assume ur trying to tell me its a great book, and i should definitely read it (?) I'll go to chapters tmrw and see if they have it =). Ooo speaking of good authors, have you read The Namesake? I loved Lahiri's style of writing, and how everything flowed so well.

Heya Boo,

I read the Kite Runner sometime last year, and I remember really enjoying it. And while I agree many of the characters weren't real enough, I definitely recommend this book. It provides good insight to another culture and lifestyle. If you enjoyed The Kite Runner, you might like A Thousand Splendid Suns by Hosseini, or The Writing On My Forhead by Nafisa Haji (good book, felt I could relate to it as an Indian/Canadian, trying to mesh two vastly different cultures in a functional way).

I have just recently finished reading Midnight's Children by Salman Rushdie, gotta say, the book was really difficult to get into, but after the first 60ish pages, I'm glad I didn't give up on it!! An amazing book, Rushdie is a genius. Read this book when you have time, it takes patience to fully appreciate it =). Can't wait to read other novels by him.

Finished reading The Devil Wears Prada yesterday, lol needed a fluff book after MC. Gotta say, I was disappointed! First time I've liked the movie better than the book. While I enjoyed Weisberger's writing, I just couldnt get into it.

Looking for another book to read now, The God of Small Things sounds interesting, maybe I'll give it a go =).

But I'm sure you've all created other amazing memories here, this forum is a pretty good place to just hang out and have fun.
