she is a farsi zebon and i don't think that the song has a herati accent
because it was a little to hard to understand. I'm pretty sure it's a
tajiki/kurdish accent.

wo jo hum main tum main qarar tha tumhen yad ho k na yad ho
The peace that was between you and I, you may or may not remember (or could be “whether you remember or not”)
wahi yani wada nibah k tumhen yad ho k na yad ho
That (yani?) promise of fulfillment, you may or may not remember
wo naye gile wo shikayaten wo maze maze ki hikayaten
Those new complaints, those new accusations, those amusing/entertaining (hikayaten?)
wo har ek bat pe ruthna tumhen yad ho k na yad ho
That getting upset over every thing (bat literally=word), you may or may not remember
koi bat aisi agar hui jo tumhare ji ko buri lagi
If something ever happened that hurt your heart (literally=If such a word (was said) that your heart did not like)
to bayan se pahle hi bhulna tumhen yad ho k na yad ho
Then you may or may not remember the way you used to forget it before even expressing it

First off, I am so sorry about the multiple posts. The forum wouldn’t let me post any other way. I actually had this translated a few weeks or so after you requested it, but the forum wouldn’t let me post no matter how many times I tried, so I left it. (I’m sorry forum, I love you, but you can be quite the crazy house.) Second, I totally and completely butchered this ghazal for you because my translation is not good at all and I am so sorry for that. Ghazals are confusing with their big Urdu words and deep meanings, and double puns. But it’s better than no translation at all, right? *hopeful look* :/

Thanks for your efforts for translating this ghazal for me. I agree with you that ghazals are harder to translate but I love ghazals and want to translate it to my friends in english. It is definitely a challenge. I have to correct you on some of the “big urdu” words. They are not urdo but farsi words. Urdu language was invented by Amir khusro from Hindi and Farsi.

Hekayatein= plural of story or stories or tales

aashna= acquaintance

beshtar= more or greater

barmala= public or notorious

bawafa- faithful

Wasl= union or joining

mubtala= suffering or affected
