    Re: The Transformers!

I just watched it for the third time.  Oh, Alie, as for watching the movies before you get to see them, they release the movies earlier in Asia to destroy the movie pirates who sell cheap knock-offs for a ridiculous sum.  This evens the playing field since more people would rather spend 25 Rand for a nice movie in a THX Theater (Popcorn and Soda not included) than venture into sleazy back-alleys to find a washed out copy of the movie on DVD and cough up 12.50 Rand.

Oh, I plan on watching the movie on Friday (10.45pm Local Time).  Care to join?

Lol, Firstly am impressed by your knowledge of South Africa..

Except let me correct u …ie if you were referring to South African money

    Then its like this

To watch a movie at a theatre …Cinema.. Its around R35 / R40, depends on which mall u are going to  - and yeah Popcorn, chocs and soda/juices aint included..The sleazy, pirated copies are sold for R25 / R30 depends on which part of South Africa u are in hahahaa

Sooo even pirated stuff aint cheap here. For R12.50 u can get a blank cassette but then who uses them these days.

Hmm for R12.50 u can get a chocolate..

Oh, I plan on watching the movie on Friday (10.45pm Local Time).  Care to join?

Wat da heck, off coz I will join u..Where exactly are we going to watch it again ?? Yr place or mine??Wink

Third time?  Lol, I am not kidding.  I plan on watching it as many times as possible.  You are not a teacher are you?  But, nonetheless, thank you for the corrections.  Usually movies here are cheaper but since its the first week of release and then too THX the ticket was costly.  Sheesh, movies in South Africa are expensive.

Of course we are going to watch it in my place.  Cheaper over here.  As for house rules, you are right.  I am overzealous Lmao.  How about this: The only rule is that there are no rules?  I like that rule?  Don't you agree?

When Bumblebee erm uncapped himself and starting 'lubricating the man' I laughed so loud and for so long, I was shushed by several people in the theater.  But then someone in the back started to giggle, and soon everyone was giggling.  It was so funny!

Yes!  But, I've always been this way.  I love watching movies over and over again so I do not miss out on anything.  I intend to watch it a few more times.  How often does one get to live again what he once did many moons ago?  This is an unprecedented opportunity!

    Re: The Transformers!

I do not make lists.  Not anymore.  I could not stand the fact that most of my lists were left untouched.  All the places I wanted to see, all the books I wanted to read, all the people with whom I wanted to share a meal or a cup of coffee, all the things I wanted to do when I had time...each New Year, I made a new list and an new resolution to accomplish the things on my list.  Each succeeding New Year, I merely transferred things from the 'Old List' to the 'New List.'

So, no more lists.  I choose to be impulsive.  I negotiated a contract with my superiors that enables me to keep office hours at any time of the day, and in any place I want for as long as I fulfill my responsibilities and remain accountable to the administration.  They agreed since I work for no pay and the worst thing that can happen is they lose a hard-working teamplayer if they fire me, and I go from being an employed punk eating away at his life's savings to an unemployed bum eating away at his life's savings, Lmao.

So, I work hard...harder than anyone in my division.  I wake up early and sleep very late.  But, when one day I wake up and feel like taking off to the beach or driving eight hours to enjoy a hot cup of cocoa in a friend's mountain cabin where the only noise is silence, I promptly get to it.  The freedom to to what you want when you want and as often you want is liberating.  Of course, freedom needs to be tempered with a sense of responsibility and humility and that I keep in mind...on most days, Lol.

I want to die smiling, and no matter how I die, whether it be a gruesome death of excruciating pain surrounded by nothing more than loneliness, or it be a quiet passing surrounded by loved ones...I will die happy.  So help me God.
